چکیده

Poly (lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) is a kind of medical polymer material with good biodegradability and histocompatibility, which widely used in postoperative anti-adhesion materials. In this paper, PLGA microfiber membrane was successfully prepared poly(lactic-co-glycolic as the main by electrospinning technology. The surface morphology, wettability, dimensional stability mechanical properties films were characterized scanning electron microscopy (SEM) tensile testing machine. results show that average diameter fiber 2.218~2.313 μm, elongation at break film up to 193%, wettability are maintained 37°C. degradation cycle 2~3 months.

Loading of Gentamicin Sulfate into Poly (Lactic-Co-Glycolic Acid) Biodegradable Microspheres

Objective: In dental treatments, use of carriers for targeted antibiotic delivery would be optimal to efficiently decrease microbial count. In this study, gentamicin was loaded into polylactic co-glycolic acid (PLGA) microspheres and its release pattern was evaluated for 20 days.   Methods: In this experimental study, PLGA microspheres loaded with gentamycin were produced by the W/O/W method....

Synthesis and Characterization of Ursolic Acid Loaded Poly (Lactic-Co-Glycolic Acid) Nanoparticles and Caffiene Loaded Poly (Lactic-Co-Glycolic Acid) Nanoparticles in Colorectal Cancer Cell Line

Colorectal cancer is the fourth most frequently diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death. About 96,830 new cases of colon cancer and approximately 40,000 cases of rectal cancer will occur and 50,310 people will die of colon and rectal cancer combined[1]. The long term survival rate of colon cancer patients treated by conventional modalities such as surgery, radiation, and c...

Preparation of Cylinder-Shaped Porous Sponges of Poly(L-lactic acid), Poly(DL-lactic-co-glycolic acid), and Poly(ε-caprolactone)

Design of mechanical skeletons of biodegradable synthetic polymers such as poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA), poly(DL-lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA), and poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) is important in the construction of the hybrid scaffolds of biodegradable synthetic polymers and naturally derived polymers such as collagen. In this study, cylinder-shaped PLLA, PLGA, and PCL sponges were prepared by the ...

Curcumin-loaded poly lactic-co-glycolic acid nanoparticles effects on mono-iodoacetate -induced osteoarthritis in rats

Curcumin has been found to be very efficacious against many different types of diseases. However, the major disadvantage associated with the use of curcumin is its low systemic bioavailability. In the present study the protective effects of curcumin-loaded poly lactic-co-glycolic acid nanoparticles (nanocurcumin) against mono-iodoacetate-induced osteoarthritis in rats was inves...
